LIVERPOOL: TORRES SINGS SALAH PRAISES

Ex-Premier League striker Fernando Torres has been impressed with the form of Mohamed Salah in a Liverpool shirt this season. Fernando Torres sang the praises of the Egyptian national team in a chat with the official TV of Liverpool, LFC TV. According to him, he chats with Salah sometimes and that he’s happy for the ex-Fiorentina and AS Roma attacker as he was there at the beginning.

Fernando Torres was at Chelsea when Salah signed for the club from Swiss team FC Basel. Torres said that Salah didn’t find things easy at the start of his career as a Premier League player. The ex-AC Milan and Atletico Madrid striker is delighted to see Salah at the top of world football as he scores goals for fun.

Salah has 15 goals in 14 matches for Liverpool this season and it’s not the halfway stage yet. His best performance of the season till date was undoubtedly at Old Trafford when he led the Reds to record a monumental result. The Egyptian scored three times and also provided an assist as Liverpool ran riot at the home of their arch rivals. Manchester United could not cope with Salah and his Liverpool teammates as they succumbed to a 5-0 home defeat. Salah provided an assist for fellow African footballer Naby Keita during the Manchester United game, while Portugal international Diogo Jota was responsible for the other Liverpool goal at the Theatre of Dreams.

Egyptian international Salah became the first Premier League player to score three goals at the home of the Red Devils ashe helped Liverpool claimed a famous victory.

Salah has ten goals in the Premier League this season and he’s the leading goalscorer in the competition ahead of Leicester City star Jamie Vardy. Salah has three more goals than Vardy at the moment.
