Bale hints at return to Spurs

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has also hinted that he would one day like to return to the Premier league with Tottenham, where he made his name. The last few months has been Real Madrid’s best player Cristiano Ronaldo stating on several occasions that he would love the possibility of playing for Manchester United once again. The 30-year-old is reportedly unhappy at the Santiago Bernebeu. This coupled with United’s need for a top player is set to result in a £ 60 million offer for the star in the summer.

After having only recently moved to Madrid in a £ 85 million deal, Bale is expected to stay in Spain for several years to come. The fact that he has been a massive success, after winning the Champions League in his first season, is one of the reasons. Bale came through the ranks at Southampton before moving onto Tottenham as a teenager for £ 5 million. It was a Tottenham where he was converted from a timid left back into a winger feared by many in the world. Bale has not scored with the same frequency as Ronaldo, but he has proven to be one of the best in the last 18 months.

Bale says that he will never forget the incredible European adventures with Tottenham, which have primarily come in the Europa League. “I’ll never forget the great European nights at White Hart Lane. They were amazing. Tottenham will always have a place in my heart. I hope the fans still love me even though I’ve moved on. I love Spurs fans; you never know, I could come back one day. I hope they understand that obviously Real Madrid is a massive, massive club and that they respect my decision,” said Bale. The winger has scored five goals in nine matches this season.
